Dark chocolate helps hypertension

The dark chocolate as an ally against hypertension? A few days ago we had already pointed out this delicious and precious food among the foods considered capable of stabilizing blood pressure. The experts are now giving new confirmations of this. In fact, dark chocolate is once again indicated as a real weapon to combat hypertension, reduce cholesterol levels and promote dilation of the coronary arteries.

The EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) has reopened the debate on dark chocolate as an especially healthy food and is studying the indication of a nutraceutical product based on flavonoids and cocoa to combat angina and hypertension.

It contains 10 grams of cocoa and 200 milligrams of flavonoids. All you need to do is take it once a day to keep your high blood pressure under control.

Only dark chocolate has beneficial characteristics regarding the problem of hypertension, due to its high content of cocoa and flavonoids. Milk chocolate and white chocolate would not be effective in this regard.

In addition to dark chocolate, experts have identified another particularly effective element in the fight against hypertension. This is the lupine, which would have beneficial properties suitable for contributing to the treatment of hypertension, diabetes and cholesterol, as well as having a protein content that should not be underestimated. So why not trying to use lupins for  preparing excellent vegetable burgers?
